Quality has a name

Koskisen is a Finnish company that was founded more than 100 years ago. We process Finnish wood into products that stand the test of time. Over the decades, we have evolved into an international wood products and processing expert.

Our product range cover further processed timber, sawn timber, plywood, thin plywood and chipboard. We offer our customers a wide range of wood products, state-of-the-art technology, an excellent sales network, genuine customer-oriented service and the possibility of customised products.

First-class sawn timber

Koskisen’s sawn timber is made from densely grained Finnish pine and spruce. Our sawn timber production volume is about 400 000 m3 (75 % spruce, 25 % pine) annually and our new state of the art saw line that started in Järvelä at 2023. We have also Finland’s largest on-line further processing unit, where we can produce about 150 000 m3 planed goods annually. Our main market areas are Finland and Japan.

Tailored plywood

Koskisen’s plywood products are globally known for their tailored solutions, high quality and customer solution. We produce plywood in Järvelä mill and thin plywood and veneers in Hirvensalmi mill from a renewable raw material – Finnish birch. Finnish birch plywood is used for applications such as vehicle floors, all types of construction, interior decoration and furniture.

Tailored chipboard

Koskisen’s Finnish chipboard products offer the markets’ broadest selection of chipboard for construction, interior design and furniture industry. Our chipboard is made in Järvelä, home to the only chipboard mill in Finland, by professionals who ensure high quality using clean and renewable raw materials.
